The 1992 Regina AFL footy card set was a historic release. It was the first time that footy cards were produced to sell in their own right, as opposed to promoting chewing gum, cereal, chocolates or cigarettes. Ironically, Regina did slip a stick of gum in each of their packs, more for a novelty rather than anything else. The set comprised 176 cards on a clean white background. It features rookie cards of Gavin Wanganeen, Derek Kickett, Peter Matera, Todd Viney, Andrew Jarman and a host of others.
