After two years without releasing VFL cards in their cereals, Kornies came back with their most innovative set, which is still one of the most unique releases to this day. Known as the Mascot Card Series, the cards featured a real photo head shot of each player, set atop a caricature cartoon body of their club mascot. 3 players from each team made up the 36 card set, which is the rarest Kornies release and still one of the rarer VFL sets available. Ron Barassi and Kevin Murray also have their rookie cards in the 1957 Kornies set.
