The 1969 Scanlens VFL set comprised 48 regular cards with a white border and blue trim. The club logo was at the top and player name in a panel at the bottom. Some cards had multiple players from a team. For some reason, ALL the Bulldogs player names are wrong. On the backs of the player cards is a jigsaw piece of an action shot. The release also included 18 special die cut cards or “stand up plaks” as they were called back then. These were randomly inserted into packs, and specially made so the player photo could be “popped out” of the card and it would stand up. Unpopped die cuts are considered a lot more valuable than those which have been popped.
