Thorp’s produced delicious chocolate fudge back in 1922 and within their product, cards called the Football Captains series. Featuring the captains of both VFL and VFA teams of the time, the most exciting of the 19 is the Syd Barker rookie cards. Strangely, the backs of the cards mention a if you send in any 50 cards you can receive a large photo of a captain of your choice. So whether there were 50 cards in the set, or you could simply send in multiples of the cards totalling 50, remains to the seen.
