Allen’s Lollies are still a well known brand to this day, and in the 1930s they produced a range of trading cards in their products. The 1933 footy cards were their first. 144 cards comprised their debut set, with half displaying identical fronts to the Turf Personalities Series and half displaying a different version. The backs promoted various Allen’s products such as Steam Rollers, Irish Moss Gum Jubes and Cure-Em Quick. Syd Barker is card 122 however there is also an error card with him showing number 120. The correct version of 120 is Selwyn Baker.
