The 1934 Hoadley’s cards are the most common of the sets released by this chocolate company, but are still fairly scarced. 50 cards featured VFL players at training, with a design that would be kept fairly consistent for their future releases. The backs of the cards include a player summary and various safety warnings which are quite humorous in modern times. Some include “Don’t dash across the road without looking”, “Broken glass is dangerous” and “Keep away from aeroplane propellers”.
