The 1950 Kornies VFL cards went back to a release of 64 (which was unchanged every other year through to 1954). Who knows why they had an extra 44 cards in 1949. Maybe a Kornies executive had a nephew in the league and wanted him on a card! The 1950 set was similar to the first two years, but also contained a printed signature of the player in the top right corner of the card. This set contains the lucrative rookie card of Essendon legend John Coleman, not to mention the first card of Norm Smith and Bob Rose.
