The 1964 Scanlens VFL set was a very similar design to the inaugural release, with player action shots on a bright coloured background. Every VFL team has players included in the 33 card set, with each club getting 2 or 3 players listed. Ted Whitten and Noel Teasdale are both wearing their Victorian jumper in their respective photos. The backs of the cards have very comprehensive player information as well as a message to stick the cards into your album. As a result, many cards were stuck down and their condition decimated from a collecting perspective. St Kilda great Darrell Baldock has his debut card in this set, as do John Nicholls and Des Tuddenham.
