1908-09 Sniders & Abrahams (Series D)
1908-09 Sniders & Abrahams (Standard Cigarettes) VFL
Collection: 60 cards
Scarcity rating: 5
The 1908-09 Sniders and Abrahams set was the second season of the Series D Standard Cigarettes cards, and it reused many of the head-and-shoulders portraits from the first year. The two years can be told apart by the guernseys, which are printed in noticeably brighter colours in 1908-09, and by the different typeface used in the advertisement on the back. South Melbourne’s uniform changed again, from vertical stripes to a red sash. This was also the first Sniders & Abrahams VFL set to include Richmond, which joined the league in 1908. The 60 cards cover nine clubs.
